Azure AD SSO integration with Veracode 401 HTTP

Hello Community,

 

We are testing the Azure AD SSO integration with Veracode, but we found a problem/error. We are following this instructions: Tutorial: Azure Active Directory single sign-on (SSO) integration with Veracode | Microsoft Docs

 

The User in Azure is created

 

Azure User 

And Veracode Platform configuration is all set (Issuer, Certificate Base64, self-registration, roles, default team, etc). But when the user try to enter to Veracode by "Microsoft My Apps" > "Veracode" , Veracode returns HTTP 401.

    Hi Steven,

     

    Makros Team found the solution. Veracode need three required parameters:

     

    1- Firstname

    2- Lastname

    3- Email

     

    When the user is created in Azure these values are not set or one parameter is not set. If just one parameter is not set, then the error 401 happen.

     

    Go to Azure users

     

    Azure User 

    And select the user. CHECK that these values are all set, if not, set the values.

    Then, go to https://myapplications.microsoft.com/ and select the "Veracode" app to test and enter to the Veracode Platform.

    Great, thank you for the follow up. I did some further investigation and I could see in the SAML logs that the first name field was null. Meaning it did not have an entry of some sort.
