When are users accounts automatically created in the platform?
- User accounts are created automatically within the platform while organizations are created from Salesforce contracts.
When a new contract is activated in Salesforce, an automatic job pushes this update to the platform thereby creating a new organization and a customer user account in the platform. In some cases, the user account is not created automatically. This is due to "Default Platform Admin" field being left empty by Sales with in the Salesforce contract. This can also happen if the user's email exists somewhere else in the Platform. Veracode Support needs to manually create the user account in such cases.
- User accounts are also automatically created when Third party COTS requests are approved. Once a vendor is requested and we approve the COTS request, the vendor account is available in the platform as well as user account is created for the user whose details were provided while Requesting New Vendor. For more information on the COTS workflow see: FAQ: What happens after a new vendor account is requested in the platform?
