How to replace API wrapper authentication with HMAC authentication?

The Java/C# API wrappers support HMAC(API ID/API Key) through the vid and vkey parameters already. See the following documentation.

Note that the current documentation still shows vuser and vpassword wrapper parameters but these parameters will be deprecated and the documentation will be updated to reflect this soon.
You will need to generate API ID and API Key for use with these parameters. If needed, see the following documentation.
