What do upload.do errors mean?

I am experiencing the following error when trying to upload a zipped file for Veracode:

[Veracode CLI] Upload and Scan

[Veracode CLI] Upload failure: uploadfile.do error element returned

I can find nothing in the documentation as to why this might be happening. The file is 12.7MB

  • Hello @PStafford288161 (Community Member),

Could you give some more information about the situation so that we can investigate?

    • It looks like you're running through a command line. Are you using one of our API wrappers? If so, which one?
    • Could you show us an example of the command you're running to get this error?
    • Is this happening for all zipped files? I want to be sure that it's not one particular file that's causing the error to be thrown.

We are running via a command line. Unfortunately, I do not have access or knowledge of the Wrapper being used.

      The command that shows is:

      ./"${GIS_VERACODE_CLI}" --file reference-data-api.zip

      + ./"${GIS_VERACODE_CLI}" --file reference-data-api.zip

      [Veracode CLI] Upload and Scan

[Veracode CLI] Upload failure: uploadfile.do error element returned

This is not happening for all zip files. Just a new pipeline we have created. I've mentioned this to the developers working on the GIS_VERACODE_CLI and they have mentioned to me they have seen this error on other pipelines and suspect that the upload.do file needs to be replaced with largeuploadfile.do.

I do know the zip file is roughly 12.7mb. We do have another Veracode scan that does work using this same GIS_VERACODE_CLI but the file size is only 7.4mb.
