-Embed a security champion into the dev teams so there's rapid triage of questions or issues. This will shorten time to remediate, which is the key metric.
-Scan as early in the dev process as possible: find and fix at the lowest cost/earliest point. Will help ensure security-related flaws don't jeapardize release timing. Data shows teams that do this find more and fix faster.
