These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not then work. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.
These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site, and will not be able to monitor its performance.
These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. Going to answer this myself, although the VC folks need to work on the interface!!!
My problem was I had nested .pl, .tar, .gz and .zip files in the upload package and had 4 files that wouldn't compile. Removing those files cleared the 'incomplete' and allowed the analysis to run fine.
HOWEVER. You can't tell that there are file problems much less what the specific problems are unless you babysit the "verifying" page. Once verification fails, if you get logged out due to inactivity, there isn't a simple way that I can see to see what the problem is. You can't get to the Files tab. This interface problem needs an easily discoverable "what's wrong" button—perhaps the info button above "request incomplete"?
Hi @KHansen343900 (Community Member) - thanks for sharing how you sorted this out. I am sorry that this was not a great user experience. I am going to forward thread to the @Static Analysis Group (Archived) to raise visibility there.
In the meantime, I'd encourage you to submit this feedback to Ideas (where we crowd-source product feedback/requirements). Once submitted, your feedback will be open for voting; our Product team meet monthly to review and determine next steps for the top voted ideas. Let me know if you need any additional guidance regarding Ideas.
Hi @KHansen343900 (Community Member) - thanks for the feedback. We will be releasing a new UI for the module review page later this year which will probably help address this type of situation.
