• Hi @KSylvain129890 (Community Member) ,

Python is fully supported for scanning with Veracode Static Analysis.

For more information on how to upload your Python code and supported frameworks please see our packaging instructions in the Help Centre: https://help.veracode.com/reader/4EKhlLSMHm5jC8P8j3XccQ/GVsa7Fl8UL7PRkROIGPVFQ .

If you are having issues scanning Python code or are aware of specific lines of code we should be reporting but are not doing so please create a Support issue through the Veracode Community by (once you are logged in) clicking on your avatar in the top right and clicking "Contact Support".

Alternatively, if this is included in your contract, you can schedule a consultation via WebEx with a Veracode Application Security Consultant through the Veracode Platform.

You can find more information on how to do this in our Help Centre: https://help.veracode.com/reader/DGHxSJy3Gn3gtuSIN2jkRQ/7YQTCDJKFEQzL3gL_N90hQ .

Please let me know if you have any remaining questions or concerns.

    Thank you,

    Boy Baukema

    Hi Boy,

Thanks for the quick response. We have uploaded some code with known sql injections and fake password but the scan is coming back with a score of 100 and not reporting any flaws. We already had a consultation with support. They told us to upload on the code that we wrote and not the additional open source code. So when we uploaded just the custom python code with the known flaws in it, the scan still didn't report any flaws.

Could it be that something is not set correctly in our Policy?

  •

@KSylvain129890 (Community Member) I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I can't say more without more details about this specific case. I can see in our records that you've recently had a consultation with my colleague John Evans. Please reach out to him with the specifics for the false negatives.

Policy does not affect the flaws that Veracode Static Analysis detects, rather it determines what flaws must be remediated or mitigated.

Please let me know if you have any remaining questions or concerns.

    Thank you,

    Boy Baukema

We are also having trouble with Python code. Veracode is not detecting any code.
