Hello @JSwindle018785 (Community Member) ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community.
Pipeline scan does not touch the platform; it goes directly to the scan engine and then sends results back to the end user.
Mitigations are comments that are tied to flaw IDs, which are identified and stored on the platform. A results set does not have any flaw ID information associated with it, as that is a function of Flaw Matching which happens on the platform.
Best regards,

Thanks for the reply. I'm curious why other older flaws that have been mitigated are not identified then?
Hi @JSwindle018785 (Community Member) ,
Out of the box, the pipeline scanner does NOT handle mitigation's documented in the platform. You can use a pipeline results file as the filter of "acceptable" findings, such that "net new" ones provoke action.
Regards,
Steven
Thanks for the reply. Before implementing the baseline file we need to understand the current behavior better.
Hello @JSwindle018785 (Community Member) ,
May I suggest you review the documentation on the help.veracode.com web site then. I have included the link below.
