It's a twofer Thursday, so here I am with another product announcement. We want to give all customers a heads up on the forthcoming launch of the Findings API v2!

What it is: Findings API v2 is a REST API for working with open and mitigated findings. It allows you to see the latest static, dynamic, manual, and SCA findings for applications and their sandboxes.

When is it coming: We expect to launch Findings API v2 the week of August 17.

Who it's for: Customers who need information about currently open findings and findings closed by a mitigation, in policy scans or sandboxes, can use Findings API v2 to access this information via a RESTful API call. 

What it doesn't do: Findings API v2 will only contain information about the findings in an application that have not been closed by a rescan. At this time if you want information about closed findings, you'll need to get them from our XML APIs or via exploring data in Veracode Analytics. Also note that to retrieve SCA findings or mitigation information, you'll need to add query filters; those aren't included by default when you call the main Findings endpoint. A full cheat sheet will accompany the launch of Findings v2.

Why it's cool: Findings API v2 provides a modern way to get access to information about findings in an easily accessible JSON format. It provides query filters to allow you to fetch just the information that you need, uses pagination for better performance, and works well with other Veracode REST APIs.
