Hi again! We wanted to let you know about two exciting additions now available in Veracode Security Labs.

First, individual Security Labs users can now get a certification based on the labs they’ve successfully completed. Up to three levels of certification are available, and the user will get a badge and a URL they can share on LinkedIn or on social media! This is a great way for developers to show off their security knowledge. (Existing Security Labs users with enough points can retroactively achieve certifications. If you are a Security Labs administrator, you must enable Certifications in Account Settings before the feature is available.)

Second, the “Phone a Friend” capability, by which users who are stuck on a lab can get mentoring from a teammate who has already completed it, has been renamed to “Contact a Teammate” and now works with Slack DMs! This feature must be enabled by an admin, and an individual user can opt out of being contacted.

Both features are now available for Security Labs customers. The Certifications feature is also available in Security Labs Community Edition (though only paying customers can reach the highest certification level).
