Hi all! @Tim J (Veracode PM) (Veracode)​ here with a preview announcement for a change that’s coming in early January 2021 to the Veracode Platform. We’re launching a new streamlined user interface for creating and editing application profiles, and we want to give you all a heads up about the change.

What’s new?

The following changes were made in the new user interface:

• Streamlined, single-window process to create and update application profiles
• Many unused metadata fields removed from the profile.
  • If a customer used "industry" or other meta data field that is no longer supported, the field was converted to a tag to make finding that same information easy for the user. 
  • Each field that was removed was used by less than 10% of our customers' active applications 
• Only required fields display on first loading the screen – progressive disclosure of additional fields as needed

Will all users receive the new UI?

At this time, only customers who do not use the third party applications workflow will receive the new UI; this is the same group of customers who can use the new application list with customizable columns. The remaining customers will see this new user interface at a later date.
