If you’re new to the Secure Coding Challenge, it’s a coding competition hosted on the Veracode Security Labs – an interactive web app using real vulnerabilities that you can exploit and patch.

We're introducing two new categories of the awards for the March competition:  

 

đź‘‘Secure Code MVP - recognizing one secure coding generalist who completed the most labs across all languages the fastest.

 

The winner of Secure Code MVP will receive: 

  • A Keychron K8 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard 
  • 100 Community reputation points 
  • Secure Coder Badge for OWASP A4  

 

🏅Secure Code Language Champs - recognizing three coding specialists:

  • Python Champ: completed the Python labs the fastest
  • Ruby+Rails Champ: completed the Ruby+Rails labs the fastest
  • Golang Champ: completed the Golang labs the fastest

 

Each winner of the Secure Code Language Champs will receive:

  • A pair of Secure Coder socks  
  • 50 Community reputation points 
  • Secure Coder Badge for OWASP A4

First-time participant  

You’ll receive an invite to Veracode Security Labs within 48 hours after registering for the contest. Accept the invite as soon as possible to enter Veracode Security Labs, get familiar with the platform and start practicing! Optional Labs, though not counting towards the leaderboard, are a great way to familiarize yourself with the tool and brush up on your secure coding skills on the given topic.
