Hi folks, happy Friday. We want to give you a heads up for something happening in next week's Veracode Platform release. In the March 4, 2021 release, we will remove a feature that previously allowed administrators to assign applications to team profiles.

Administrators were originally given this power to support a use case that has been since deprecated in the Veracode Platform. It appeared as a link for “Team Assignment” in the left navigation of the Application screen in the platform (see screenshot below).

Based on our data, the number of active users that have the Administrator role and do not have another role that grants them access to edit applications profiles (Security Lead or Creator) is extremely small, and the number of users interacting with this screen in the platform is almost nonexistent. However, it may be possible that some users will be inconvenienced by this change. The workaround is to grant that administrator one of the roles that allows editing application profiles.
