With the feedback we received from many of you over the last four months, we’re thrilled to roll out the Security Coding Challenge 2.0! In the upcoming April Challenge, we’re introducing: 

🏅 Role-based leaderboards 

You will be entered into the leaderboard based on your role: Developers or Security/DevOps engineers  

🏆 New Awards 

• Secure Code Champion*: users who earned three championships (Secure Code MVP).
• Secure Code MVP: First place leaderboard winner each month 
• Secure Code Rising Star: Top 5 leaderboard winners each month (excluding MVP) 

🎉 We're excited to announce the first Secure Code Champion - @Hans Dam (Community Member)​ ​, who has earned three championships from January through March. Congrats Hans!

📩 Security Labs Account Activation Email (for first-time participant only)  

You’ll receive an invite to Veracode Security Labs no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the contest. Accept the invite as soon as possible to enter Veracode Security Labs, get familiar with the platform, and start practicing! Optional Labs, though not counting towards the leaderboard, are a great way to familiarize yourself with the tool and brush up on your secure coding skills on the given topic.
