A flaw in my static analysis report is showing 17 Data Paths - but clicking on the link takes me to the "Data Path" tab and there are only 3 path details. Why am I seeing this discrepancy?
This is happening for many of the flaws flagged in our static analysis, I can't seem to find any common reason why the "Data Path" tab would contain less paths than the reported Data Paths in the report. For example another flaw with "14 paths" shows details for 4 paths under the Data Path tab, then another with 10 paths shows details for all 10 paths. Can anyone explain what I'm missing?

When you are looking at the report, what it is doing is collecting many paths during analysis and showing the total number, but when drilling down and viewing the data paths, Veracode deduplicates them.
Hopefully this clears up what you are seeing but if you would like to see this feature modified, I would suggest going to Ideas within the Community and look/submit an idea because the more community support an Idea and receives upvotes, the more likely it will be considered or prioritized for implementation.
