Product Announcements — Tim J (Veracode PM) (Veracode) asked a question.
Greetings all! Following the release of the new Veracode Platform home page, we’re following up next week with a new onboarding guide. Intended to help new Veracode users find information to make their experience more successful, the guide provides pointers for common scenarios for both developers (and DevOps engineers) and appsec managers.
The guide will initially appear as an onscreen banner at the bottom of the screen, where users can either dismiss it (and later access it from the Resource Center) or open it, where they will be guided to information about the tasks they want to accomplish. You can see screenshots of what the experience will look like below.
We plan to launch the new experience next week. Please let us know if you have questions or feedback in the comments below!

Important clarification -- only users who have never logged in will see the onboarding experience as a banner above. Other users will be able to find this in the Resource Center.
This feature seems like a very good idea. Many times developers log in for the first time and go, "now what?" In my opinion, the phrase "Get started with Veracode" sounds more sales oriented and makes me think I would be requesting a product brochure. I know as a new user I probably would try to ignore it and figure things out on my own unless it read more like "New User Demo/Tutorial" or "HOW to Get Started"
