đź“Ł Static Analysis Product Updates - Upcoming changes for the January Release
Hello everyone,
Next week, we are going to be launching our January Static Analysis Release. We are targeting the following items in that release:
- Initial Support for Kotlin 1.5 and 1.6
- Full Support for Android 11
- Initial Support for PHP 7.4
- Improved Accuracy of Hard-Coded Passwords (CWE 259 and 798). You can expect:
- Fewer false positives where locale files are in known valid locations
- We have further refined how we identify sensitive variable names.

Update to the anticipated changes for this week's release:
An additional update on this week's release:
Unfortunately, we are going to need to delay our initial support for PHP 7.4, that we had targeted for release this week. We have discovered an issue that is going to require some additional work, and additional testing before we release. This will not delay the rest of the static release. Additional updates on the timing of the PHP 7.4 release will be forthcoming.
