Greetings! We wanted to give you a heads up on some upcoming changes to browser support on the Veracode Platform that were announced today. We will be removing Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) from our supported browser matrix, and adding Microsoft Edge to our supported browser matrix.

When: Removal of IE11 is effective after June 30, 2022. Support of Microsoft Edge is effective today.

Why are we making this change? Microsoft has been signaling end of support for IE 11 for years now and has encouraged customers to move to Edge with IE 11 compatibility. Most major cloud computing companies, including Salesforce, Youtube, Zendesk, Github, NetSuite, Atlassian, and others, have ended support for IE11. Most importantly, there are now very few Veracode users using our platform with IE11.

Please note: this change only affects browsers used to access the Veracode platform and does not affect the built-in browsers used by Dynamic Analysis to scan customer websites.

If you still use Internet Explorer 11, we recommend moving to a supported browser. As mentioned above, we now officially support Microsoft Edge, or you can use one of the other supported browsers listed in our docs.
