Veracode Static Scan Fails to Detect Web Filter Issues

Hello, forum members!

I hope everyone is having a great day. Today, I would like to discuss an issue that our team has encountered with Veracode static scans failing to detect web filter issues. If anyone has experienced similar challenges or has any insights to share, your input would be highly appreciated.

The Issue:

Veracode Static Scan and Web Filter Detection

As part of our software development process, we conduct regular static code analysis using Veracode to identify potential security vulnerabilities and ensure the overall quality of our code. Recently, we discovered that Veracode's static scan is not effectively detecting certain web filter-related issues, which is a cause for concern.

Specifically, we have noticed the following problems:

Veracode fails to flag certain web filter bypass techniques or vulnerabilities that can potentially be exploited.

False negatives occur, where Veracode does not identify known web filter weaknesses or misconfigurations.

Limited coverage of web filter-specific security best practices and compliance requirements.

We have extensively reviewed our codebase and verified that the web filter implementation is correctly integrated into our application. However, the fact that Veracode is not providing adequate coverage in detecting potential issues related to the web filter raises concerns about the effectiveness of our security testing.

Given the expertise within this forum, I kindly request input from fellow members who may have encountered similar challenges or have insights into resolving this issue. If you have successfully addressed web filter-related vulnerabilities with Veracode static scans or have suggestions on how to improve the effectiveness of the scans in this context, your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Let's collaborate and leverage our collective knowledge and experiences to find a suitable solution for detecting web filter issues more effectively with Veracode static scans.

Thank you for your time and contributions!
