Veracode’s Software Composition Analysis (SCA) agent scans leverage agent rules to determine when to create SCA issues and whether to generate an error or a warning during your builds. As part of the SCA team’s ongoing efforts to unify the two scanners - SCA Upload and SCA Agent - Veracode has begun the process of moving the agent rules into the Unified Policy feature that was made generally available (GA) last month. This feature provides users a single location where they can set up the rules that govern both SCA scanners. We have activated this feature for over 30% of customers thus far and will continue to do so over the coming months. If you are using custom agent rules, Veracode will migrate them to Unified Policy so that the transition to Unified Policy will be seamless and will avoid affecting your scans or your results.
