Product Announcements — Hannah (Veracode PM) (Veracode) asked a question.
If you do not use app-linking to link your SCA agent projects to app profiles, you can ignore this message.
On June 19th, Veracode Analytics will be updating the dates associated with application linked SCA findings inside the Findings explore to more closely match their Agent scanning history. About 0.004% of findings (0.02% of SCA findings) are expected to be affected by this change.
Of the findings that are affected, the following date fields may change:
- First Found Date and First Found in Application Date
- Library First Found in Active Scans Date
- Last Found Date
- Reopened Date
- Fixed Date and Resolved Date
- Grace Period Expiration Date
- Flaw Age
Previously, Veracode Analytics retrieved date information for findings from SCA Agent through linked Upload scans. However, customer feedback indicated that this process made it difficult to follow the lifecycle of a finding. The enhancement now provides customers with a clearer insight into the scanning history of findings reported via SCA Agent.
We recommend that customers that do use the application linking feature and have previously downloaded Veracode Analytics data re-download their data after June 19th to obtain the most up to date information. If you have any questions or concerns about the changes to your application linked SCA findings data, please reach out to your Customer Support Representative.
