IDE scan extension
I installed the IDE scan extension. I get an error stating unable to package the project. On the following url (Agent-based scan language support matrix | Veracode Docs) it mentions C#/.net... but does not call out vb.net. Could it be something with the language support? There are other areas that do support vb.net. We currently do manual scans of our projects in vb.net.

Hi @JMaxwell915762 (Community Member) - vb.net is not supported by our Auto-packager, so you would need to package manually.
Due to this post, we've just put in a feature request to add vb.net support 🙂
In the VSCode extension, you can package manually and put the artefact into a folder called .verascan at the project root. That will allow you to scan in the IDE.

If the auto-packager is not able to package your application, or you prefer to create the artifact yourself, you can use the Veracode packaging guidance to package your application manually. The default location for manually packaged artifacts is <project root>/.verascan. At the root of your project, create the .verascan folder and add your artifact to this folder.
